In December of last year, we asked maternal, infant and early childhood Home Visitors to nominate colleagues who have gone above and beyond in their service to families, acting as true “Home Visiting Heroes.” The response was remarkable. We heard stories of empathy, caring and service from around the country.

After reviewing all the nominations, we picked a winner in a random drawing. This video shows Dr. Steven Herr, Advanced Metrics CEO, announcing the winner, Ms. Maura Bond from the Healthy Families Program at Children’s Wisconsin.

Here’s what colleagues said about our winner, Maura Bond:

“Maura is very knowledgeable and never is too busy to share her knowledge. She is always lending a helping hand not only to the families on her case load but to her colleagues families as well.  If one of the team member is too busy to go do a drop off of diapers or other things that their family needs Maura is always there to help. She also is a volunteer at our giving closet, spends hours of her day sorting and providing clothes to the families in need. Maura always makes a lot of us smile during difficult days.”

As our winner, Maura got a $100 Visa Gift Card from Advanced Metrics in recognition of her service. Advanced Metrics also made a $500 donation to the Healthy Families Program at Children’s Wisconsin.

Thanks to everyone who nominated a colleague, but thanks most of all to all the Home Visiting Heroes around the country doing such vital work. We see you.
